Hi everyone! We've entered the last 72 hours of the campaign before it ends on Friday, March 4th, 2022. We've so far raised over $1800, adding additonal community copies to the tally and unlocking another piece of Starkhollow Hall lore. A few days after the campaign ends, you'll recieve a survey from Backerkit requesting more information. Most of this will be making sure you've listed the correct mailing and email addresses where your Perks will be sent once the game is complete.

For international backers, you will be asked to provide credit card information for shipping charges when rewards are ready to be mailed out. As previously mentioned, your card will not be charged without notifiying you beforehand. For US backers, your shipping is free, but you and everyone else will still have the opportunity to purchase add-ons before items ship. Some rewards, like the Haunt perk and physical copies for Flowers Withered on the Stem will not be available to purchase once the campaign ends.

I realize that's a lot of administrative stuff that probably makes your eyes glaze over, so let me perk things up with a new lore drop!

Most girls who come to Starkhollow Hall are charity cases who grew up in extreme poverty, or the wayward daughters of merchant and upper class families, who have had difficulty conforming to society's expectations. Indeed, for many, Starkhollow Hall is their last chance to prove they can blossom into the perfect young women society demands. Those that do not will mysteriously disappear, never to be seen again. The administration insists that these girls are runaways, and that they have no evidence to their whereabouts. The other students believe differently, however. They whisper that girls who remain rebellious meet a more nefarious fate, though none of them can agree on exactly what it is.

That's all for today. Please keep sharing the campaign and talking about it on social media. I very much appreciate your help!

Hi everyone! With just 6 days remaining in our crowdfunding campaign we've raised over $1700 to bring Starkhollow Hall to life. We're still working toward our new goal of $2000, and I'm sure we can get there by Friday. For now, 20 more community copies have been added to the tally and I have two fresh pieces of lore for you...

Just west of Starkhollow Hall lies the Wilder Wood, a shadowy, overgrown thicket of evergreens and choking vegetation. Much like the cliffs of the Alabaster Stair, the wood is supposed to be off-limits to students, though many of the older girls delight in daring the younger ones to enter. At night, a thick fog blankets the forest floor, and strange blue lights flicker between the trees. There's a local legend about an enormous stag that haunts the wood, it's brilliant white coat splattered with blood, and the gory remains of its last opponent dangling from it's massive antlers.

Starkhollow Hall's library spans two floors and is packed with hundreds of books on any subject that can be imagined. Glass cases boasting an array of unusual antiques and artifacts are tucked between the shelves. There is also a hidden room that houses the librarian, Mr. Beckford's private collection of books deemed too wicked or dangerous for students. One can discover it by pressing the correct book in a bookcase on the upper floor, which causes a secret door to swing open.

That's all for now. Let's try to make these last six days of the campaign really count!

Hi everyone! We reached $1500 yesterday evening, which means 10 more community copies and another Starkhollow Hall lore drop. We're also just $488 away from a special surprise for all backers, so let's see if we can get to $2000!

In the meantime, we have plenty of lore to chew on, so here's today's lore drop...

Mrs. Tilney, Starkhollow Hall's housekeeper, is an imposing figure. When she isn't wielding her authority like an iron cudgel, she can be overheard talking to herself as if carrying on a one-sided conversation. The other servants are too terrified to question her behavior, and any inquiries from students or teachers are met with a hard look and a, "You very well know who I'm talking to."

That's all for now. Please keep sharing, reblogging, retweeting and helping to get the word out. It's very much appreciated!

Good morning! We're currently at $1465, which means 20 more community copies and 2 more tidbits of Starkhollow Hall lore. With 9 days to go until the end of the campaign, we're making great progress. We don't have stretch goals but, if we reach $2000, there might be a small surprise in the works! Without further delay, however, here is your Starkhollow Hall lore drop!

Hallowgrove Village, a small fishing community, lies only a few miles from Starkhollow Hall. Though much of the school's supplies are purchased in the village, the people of Hallowgrove view any outsider with suspicion. Rumors fly that Starkhollow Hall is cursed, and that anyone foolish enough to spend a night within its walls will be forever dogged by madness and sorrow. And, of course, Hallowgrove Village has its own secrets to keep, such as why the residents' insist that all visitors must depart before sundown.

The bell in Starkhollow Hall's bell tower has been missing for as long as anyone can remember. No one is quite sure what happened to it, or even when it disappeared. The servants have their own rumors, however, and whisper that any who hear the missing bell's toll are destined to die. Of course, this is probably just idle gossip.

Overnight, we shot up to $1260, which means an additional 20 community copies and two more Starkhollow Hall lore drops!

Starkhollow Hall wasn't originally a school, but an orphanage that took in children of all ages, including infants. After its transition to a school, the nursery was closed off, leaving everything just as it was when it was in use. When especially brave girls are dared to sneak inside, they bring back tales of empty bassinets that swing in an unseen draft, toys that seem to relocate by themselves, the faint sound of childish giggles, or the feeling of tiny, invisible hands that tug at their skirts.

Once, in Starkhollow Hall's murky past, a fire destroyed or damaged significant portions of the west wing. The cause of this fire remains unknown, and the burned wing was sealed for the safety of the students and staff. Students are discouraged from asking questions about the burned wing, or even discussing it at all. A single mention is enough to result in punishment from the administration. Still, one has to wonder what it is they're hiding there, and why they are so desperate to keep it a secret...

That's all for now! We're currently less than $30 away from more lore and even more community copies. Once again, thank you for your support, and I can't wait to share this game with you!
